Hi Cas. Thank you! - So, the water shader is based on 'Aquas' which is an older asset compatible only with Unity's built-in render pipeline. We custom modded it to work in WebGL and created the underwater blur/distortion post fx based on player being above or below the water level. :)
This game looks amazing! The metaphor did go over my head, and the words were hard to read at times, but that could have been the whole intention behind it. I really loved how it was told though, and it goes to show you can create an interesting game that makes the player curious about whats around the next corner with just beautiful scenery.
